Here we are, on action against the eviction and demolition of UngdomsHuset, historical Social Center of Copenaghen, Denmark.
The mobilitation in Denmark and all North-Europe is also ours, UngdomsHuset live now in every city.
UngdomsHuset is a space freed from 1982. Artists, students, activists, thousands of people constructed the history of this space. UngdomsHuset is a Social Center and above all a public space, an unique political and cultural center in all Denmark.
The Danish government and the Municipality of Copenaghen strongly research the eviction and the demolition of the historical "house of the youths".
After years of fights Ungdomshuset had been assigned to the movement. Although this the Municipality has sold the space to a Christian and fondamentalist cult.
Starting from September to December and in the first months of the 2007 thousands of activists have been involved in mobilitations, initiatives and actions against the eviction.
Many times marchs and mobilitations have been attacked and dispersed by the police with the use of armors, tear gas, preventive and massive arrests.
The escalation over the suspension of rights lived its apex in these days.
The Mayor and the government imposed the forced eviction, answering with the violence and the militarization of the city to the demand for dialogue in order to find alternatives to the eviction.
Ungdomshuset has been vacated on the 1st of March, with a "war raid" of thousands of policemen and special forces arrived also from Sweden.
At the manifestations of protest of thousands of people the First Danish Minister Anders Fogh Rasmussen and the social democratic Mayor of Copenhagen Ritt Bjerregaard answered with beyond 700 arrests. As a consequence of so high number of arrests the Danish prisons are now full, and the conditions of the prisoners are worrisome: 75 of them are under-age, 250 will have to remain in jail over a month. There are no news about a lot of them, there is no more space in the Danish jails.
Yesterday morning, Monday 5th of March, the House of Youth it was totally destroied. Workers and bulldozer protected by hundreds of policemans have destroied the space of Ungdomshuset in front of thousands of people.
The message is clear, where there was 4 floors od dreams, alternatives, spaces and rights now there is just the misery of their devastation runned on by local and national politiciens blind in front of real needs and dreams of a moltitude.
The demostrations and actions continue enlarging every where and all around Europe. The demos in support of Ungdomshuset and in solidarity with the Danish activistes have multiplied also today here in Italy, inside the Consulates of Venice and Milan.
This action of closing and isolation of the Danish Consolates and Ambassies as others in Italy and in all the world wants to send a clear message : "It is no possible to clear thought a demolition 25 years od dreams. It is no possible to clear a space as Ungdomshuset with an army’s blitz. It is no possible to clear public spaces and common goods".
"The Danish Government has closed its borders, imported war and militarization inside the cities, answered with the police to the demand of spaces, culture, dreams, rights. Today we close the Danish Consolate in order to send a strong message to the Danish Government : You thought to clear Ungdomshuset, but today Ungdomshuset is stronger than before, because Ungdomshuset is alive everywhere!"
It no possible to clear 2 years of dreams.

It no possible to evitc any public space nor clear the common goods.
