Thousands of students this morning in Milan organized a Demo for a rebel March 8th. "Don’t touch my body! Don’t touch my brain!", "Priests, keep out from us!" the demo’s slogan in a day for the autodermination and "a choise of freedom about our bodies and also inside the city’s body". In fact there is a strong connection between the right of choice on our personal choices and the freedom of spaces of autorganization, public spaces. A connection that it is well reported by the banner ahead the demo "Ungdomshus Now! Free All Now!", a banner that sends a clear solidarity’s message to the Danish activistes, as hundreds of initiatives all around europe and also in Italy as Milan e Venice two days ago with the squatting of the Danish consolate.

Students in Milan also know very well the origin of March 8th as an international day of action, borned from Copenaghen and from that public space. A lot o pink today, also a lot of NO VAT- ANTI VATICAN ironical stickers, graffities and coreographies reproducing the actual Pope and various politicians strongly connected with the Vatican attempts to influence the italian center-left government. From the sound system and the voices from the demo the student’s agenda today is for a March 8th of freedom against the Vatican and Catholic influence on italian policies, and obviously against social control and prohibitionism : "Think with your head!", "Let me smoke my joint!", "More Goldoni (condoms) Less Fioroni (italian minister)", "Protect your mind from social control, determine your body and your brain". In Italy in fact there still is a strong influence of Vatican and the Catholic Church about omophobic and foudamentalist policies regarding sexual freedom, alternative to marriage and similar matters. Even the so called actual centre-left government of Romano Prodi is totally under control of the so called teo-dem deputies. The demo has signed a beautiful and energentic March 8th, continuing also from here the battle for the freedom of choice and the freedom of spaces. A battle for an happyness that it is inside every fights and dreams, outside from any borders and wars.

The Demo was organized by an high school’s students network of Milan called CCS acronymous for Coordinamento dei Collettivi Studenteschi and centro sociale Cantiere.
