Tuesday June 5th, 2007 22:02 Smash G8 – Two Italian activists arrested at the German/Austrian border
Today in the afternoon, Maria Fiano from Radio Sherwood/Global Project, and Stefano Mantovani, member of the Green party from Pordedone, were stopped at the border between Austria and Germany. They were then arrested after police found swimming goggles in their baggage. Tomorrow the judge will decide over their situation. They are charged of detaining “passive arms”, which should be the goggles…
This fact is unacceptable and it confirms the strong limitation of personal freedom enacted by German authorities to protect G8 members.
They’re just eight, we are always anyway everywhere!
