Monday June 7th, 2004 19:13 Middle East - Pullout from the Gaza strip, Barghuti condemned

Sharon’s paln for a Gaza Strip pullout was passed today with great fanfare: in realty it is a false operation, putting off discussions and voting for over one year and hiding the many "dark points" that the Israeli right does not want to talk about.

In other news, an Israeli court gave the definite verdict and sentence against Marwan Barghuti, the representative of Al Fatah in Palestine. The condamnation to five life terms takes one of the most important Palestinian figures out of the political scene.
