Situaciones Collective

Wednesday March 14th, 2007

The Situaciones Collective is a group of militant investigation.
It was born in 2000 and tried to find its own way in the relation between theory and the radical experiences that were then growing in Argentina and that were not corresponding with the patterns coming from the former struggles.
Confronting with a new reality made of many different experiences in the field of subsistence, health, education, human rights and of counterculture, the collective shared its knowledge trying out new commitments of militancy and investigation, thinking - together with the movements - about the new emerging practices that were turning Argentina into a real laboratory of popular experimentation.
It was not a question of thinking together about the categories of power, nor of "being thinked" by the power, but of looking for new forms of thinking and new words that had to spread crosswise among these new struggles.
In the last years the collective started a publishing project, called "Tinta Limon", an experiment unlike the usual idea of publication as a commercial activity, depending on sales. Publication is rather a fundamental piece of a collective process of thinking and of social elaboration, therefore it takes political shades.
What we want is to stimulate through our texts the networks of collective thinking that run through our cities in new ways.
